Sysdoc donates to Kazakhstan TB Clinic - July 2007
For a number of years Sysdoc has been closely cooperating with Tengizchevroil (TCO) on various educational and optimisation programs for the projects currently underway. Sysdoc has a small staff based in both Tengiz and Atyrau. Willing to be a good corporate citizen in Kazakhstan and part of the strong team of TCO, Sysdoc employees contributed to a charitable initiative initiated by TCO. Sysdoc raised funds and placed an order for cafeteria furniture to be donated to the Atyrau Regional TB Hospital and Sanatorium for children. The Diar Company produced and delivered the seven sets of cafeteria furniture, two shelf stands and the serving table in no time. The furniture has been supplied to the Sanatorium and its bright colours were much enjoyed by the young patients.
Helping Children with Downs and Autism - Sysdoc Sponsors Speech Language Therapy for Children
Following on from our sponsorship last year to train Wellington speech language therapist, Sarah Courtnage, in a new therapy technique, PROMPT, we are now sponsoring Sarah to provide twenty children from the Wellington Down Syndrome Association (WDSA) with free group speech therapy. We are sponsoring four groups, each held fortnightly during term time. The groups are available to children aged 18 months to 12 years.
When the promotional flyer was sent out to all members of WDSA, the response was overwhelming. The 20 places were taken within 48 hours and there are ten more children on a waiting list. We also had phone calls from parents of adults with Down Syndrome who thought the speech therapy was a fantastic idea and wished it had been available when their children were younger. Everyone wanted to thank Sysdoc for our support.
"The groups are proving to be a great success - the children are developing their communication skills and are having lots of fun at the same time."
Sysdoc Support Insulin Pump (Diabetes) Trust - July 2007
Sysdoc is the major sponsor for the Pump up the Volume Project. The project was initiated in 2006 to raise funds for children with type 1 diabetes so that they can gain access to life changing insulin pump technology.
The project purchased four insulin pumps in 2006 which will be distributed to families who could not otherwise afford to purchase this form of diabetes therapy.
Insulin pump therapy will enable these children and their families to live a more normal life despite diabetes with much improved long term prospects and much reduced risk of diabetes related complications.
The Sysdoc contribution enabled the Pump up the Volume project to make a significant difference to four families who have children with type 1 diabetes.
"Insulin pump therapy will enable these children and their families to live a more normal life."

More Master Mind - Sysdoc confirms ongoing support for Book Week - May 2007
Sysdoc has once again demonstrated our commitment to developing New Zealand's future leaders. We have donated three full sets of the NZ Post Book Awards finalist books to three schools. This is our third year of being a primary sponsor within the Kapiti region.
The NZ Post Book Awards encourage young kiwis to read some of the greatest stories and books that our authors have written this year. Sysdoc has also given $1,000 to the Kapiti Book Festival which provides wonderful opportunities such as speech writing and poetry workshops, a story-time bus and much more.
Sponsorship of ARC, UK - May 2007
Sysdoc is a principal sponsor of ARC (Antenatal Results and Choices), the UK charity that provides information and support to parents through the antenatal testing process and when an abnormality is diagnosed in their unborn baby.
Support is offered for as long as needed, whatever decision is made about the future of the pregnancy. The Sysdoc contribution helps to ensure ARC continues to provide this vital support service to parents in need of clarity and understanding at possibly the most difficult time in their lives.
"Our role is to help ARC help parents arrive at the most appropriate decision for them in the context of their family life."
